On Instagram making looks effortless, a perfect result in seconds. Since I was a teenager I spent countless hours watching others build on Youtube, convincing myself that was enough. But watching isn’t doing. My first attempts were rough, frustrating even and nowhere near what I had imagined. Making is a journey full of failures, small wins and slow progress. Each mistake teaches, each new version improves. The only way forward is to keep going.
At first, my engineering job satisfied my creative drive. I developed processes, solved problems and worked with my hands. But as I moved into a senior role, something went missing. I felt an emptiness where creativity used to live.
Then, during the pandemic, everything fell apart. A breakup forced me to face the truth: what I was doing wasn’t working. I had built my identity around being an engineer, a scientist, but I needed to be more.
That’s when I met my girlfriend. Her creativity inspired me, and I realized I had to pursue this further. Making became a part of me and for the first time in a long while I felt whole again.
The moon is a recurring theme in my work, it represents my creative side. It's a reminder that I am more than just rational—I am a maker. The work I share here reflects my journey, where engineering and creativity work together to create something beautiful.
